12/11/2023 0 Comments Eucon adapter nuendo 8![]() If rendering only GPU accelerated plug-ins, there is no significant difference. If rendering a video with non-GPU accelerated plug-ins, the AMD processor is able to render about 9-10 times faster than the Intel chip. Both of my machines, old and new, are being used for this purpose still (depending on what location I am working in). The Win10Pro machine is using an AMD FX 9590 (8 Core) processor and the Win7Pro machine is using an Intel Core i7 (12 Core).Ī bit off topic, however, most of what I do is video post production. The most significant different between the machines, aside of the operating systems, is the processors. In fact, my Win10Pro machine runs Nuendo smoother than my old Win7Pro machine. My sessions range from 12 - 64 tracks running multiple plug-ins from Izotope, NI, EastWest, Line6, etc. I have not experienced any issues with running Nuendo 6.5 NEK (64-bit) in Win10Pro. Once I restarted the machine, Nuendo had the EUCON protocol available in the device list. ![]() I ran the Nuendo 6.5.40 update, which contained the EUCON 6.5 32-bit & 64-bit adapter. Because that particular feature could bring me a lot closer to approximating “Snapshot” like setup capabilities like Nuage.Despite Win10 not being supported, I managed to get the EUCON protocol installed and WORKING. ![]() I looked up and, sure enough, there was that cursed EXCEEDED TRACK COUNT ERROR MESSAGE again! THAT was really a tragedy, to me. I went back and forth between the app and the MC Control and suddenly it just froze up. But I built a couple of layouts on the app and launched them from the app. I haven’t been able to pin point just where in the process it will go off. This was not a big deal,as I have already had this ability for years with my X-Keys (Once again, Avid trying to “invent sunlight” ).īut being able to do Layouts right from the control was a feature that I could use and it was present in Nuendo. But, unfortunately, the folders did not show up in the app when applied to Nuendo. In the video tutorial I saw, they could open and close folders right from the control app, cool. It would appear that the new TRACKS FOLDER feature is Pro Tools only. For the 1st time the numbers on the hardware, the plugins and Nuendo actually match! It appears that they FINALLY fixed the knob and fader calibration. I’ve been trying out the new Eucon 20.5 Features and supposed fixtures, while trying to decide which kind of 8" tablet to get to replace my phone for the job. We can’t even turn it on! We would very much like to know how you guys are achieving a useable state with this app! If it works on PT, it SHOULD work on all of the other DAWs!), at least you have the option to work around them. I think Avid designed it that way deliberately to force us to buy PT. HOW is John getting it to work on 8 and/or 10? How are you able to do this? As annoying as the design flaws are (I don’t think they’re bugs. All of us with the crashing issue keep asking those without the problem HOW ARE THEY SETTING UP THEIR SYSTEMS to avoid this issue. Dog & Pony is using N8 through N10 and reporting no issues with crashing. But I’m on 10.0.2 and just touching that tracks page on Avid Control will cause an instant crash. ![]() Is this a version issue? I see that you have N10.2. The control app and the S1 are running stable with my Nuendo 10… but there are these annoying EUCON bugs which exist now for years, these are a major issue working with the control app / S1 and Nuendo, especially on larger projects. This “40 track” bug is not a general one…
